A veritable A-Z of festive imagery, Christmas Alphabet is a wonderful tapestry stocking kit to stitch if you enjoy seeing how much you’ve achieved at the end of a stitching session. With its patchwork of alphabet squares from ‘a’ for angel, to ‘zzz’ a sleepy child in bed at the end of the day, you can stitch one square in an evening or afernoon or over a weekend.
Christmas Alphabet is one of our longer shaped stockings, and as with all of our stocking kits it comes with a full colour printed canvas for the main design, Anchor tapestry wool, and a chart with instructions and squared paper for you to plan the name panel.
2017 produced a lovely variety of Christmas Alphabet stockings from enthusiastic Jolly Red stitchers, with lots of imagination and creativity shown in the lettering in the name panels.
More lovely Christmas Alphabets, with different colours used in the name panels and lettering mixed with alphabets from other kits.
Here’s a first…we’ve never seen the name Daenerys stitched on one of our stockings before. Once her stocking arrived in the workshop, we dutifully read up all about the popular Game of Thrones character. We wouldn’t have minded if the donkey had turned into a dragon on her stocking!
Christmas Alphabet is one of our longer shaped stockings, so choose it as a companion stocking for Angels, Fairytale, Silent Night, Toy Box, Owls or Cats and Dogs.
As with all of our kits you can stitch the design using the Anchor wools we provide, and there is also the option for you to order the printed canvas on its own.
Kit’s Christmas Alphabet works really well, with a different colour palette. Patchwork style designs are perfect for helping you to stitch your way through a bursting wool basket!
Thank you for your Christmas and New Year kit orders. Most Christmas stocking kits left today, and those that didn’t quite make the post will be going out tomorrow. They’ll be the perfect projects to stitch during the hibernation months of January and February.
Happy stitching, and we wonder which unusual names will be in the spotlight next year!
