There’s nothing quite like a tapestry bag to add an individual touch to any outfit. A handmade bag is perfect for carrying this month’s book to a reading group, and for taking with you on walks or evenings when you only need to carry your purse, phone and keys.
We make up A-Z Animals tapestries into book bags for babies and children, either to take to school or for keeping that all-important bedtime book safe for the next evening.
Each bag is made up with fabric from one of our ranges, a contrast or coordinating lining fabric, two patch pockets on the inside, wadding between the layers, and a shoulder strap.
Tapestry bag making up price – from £78.00
Shown below, Alhambra Stars with blue cotton for border, backing and strap. We added a turquoise lining and two contrast patch pockets.
The cost of making up a bag includes initial canvas stretching and full making up and return delivery to a mainland UK address (postage may be more for other destinations).
If you are unsure about colour choices for your bag, call us on 01460 281111 to discuss colours or to request fabric samples, or click to look at our fabric options – wool mix, cotton or velvet.
A tapestry such as Grey Hearts looks wonderful as a bag and as a cushion.
