Christmas Alphabet tapestry stocking is an A-Z of traditional Christmas imagery. The day starts with a little angel (‘a’) and ends with an exhausted child, tucked up in bed…’zzz’. It’s a lovely Christmas stocking to stitch for a baby or young child.
If you need to stitch more than one stocking and would like them all to be the same size, note that Christmas Alphabet stocking is the same size as Angels, Cats and Dogs, Fairytale, Toy Box, Owls and Silent Night.
Christmas Alphabet Christmas stocking tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (10hpi)
- Reference chart
- Additional lettering chart with instructions for name panel
- Generous supply of Anchor tapestry wool
- John James tapestry needle
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, the frames allow you to switch between projects if necessary.
For Christmas Alphabet stocking, we recommend either a CF219 or a CF2112 frame for ease of working. Choose on of the 24″ frames if you think you will stitch cushion sized projects in the future.
Printed canvas area: 19″ x 14″ (48cm x 36cm) at tallest/widest points
