Christmas is very close now, and this year we need to be more organised than ever if posting gifts to friends or relatives. Our mail services are dealing with far higher volumes of parcels than they normally have, so please shop early if you can. Your local postie will be very grateful!
Set out below are our last dates for posting tapestry kits. We’ve concentrated on the parts of the world that we send to most regularly.
Posting to UK addresses (including Channel Islands)
Friday 18th Dec: 2nd class signed for.
Seasonal floods It’s worth mentioning that parts of Somerset flood around the middle – end of December in most years. For instance, on December 19th last year the post vans couldn’t get to us to collect our parcels – and we couldn’t get to our ‘higher ground’ post office in time to reach the van which had stuck to the top roads.
Monday 21st Dec: 1st class signed for. This is the last ‘normal’ posting date for UK parcels.
Top tip: Call us on 01460 281111 if you’re in a panic or want to check that the kit you need is definitely in stock. It’s sometimes quicker to do things over the phone, and we are very happy to help and advise about your purchase if necessary.
Wednesday 23rd Dec: Special Delivery Next Day service but we really don’t think it’s advisable to leave it until as late as this (see seasonal floods, above). The posties will be tired and over-stretched and for our part, there’s always the possibility that we may have run out of some lines in spite of our careful stock planning. Call us on 01460 281111 by 11am if ordering on 23rd and we’ll check that your kit is in stock.

The days between Christmas and New Year
Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th December: These will be normal post days for tapestry kits (rain and roads permitting), so treat yourself to some New Year stitching – perhaps make an early start on next year’s Christmas stockings?
Large deliveries/Making up Service We will not be sending out any large parcels (including trade orders) by courier from 24th Dec – 4th January. We also do not send completed tapestries from our Making up Service during these dates as there’s always the risk of non-delivery and parcels being left in a depot for several days – or worse, on a doorstep in the rain.
