Description
Birds in a Tree is a lovely new tapestry design to stitch at any time of the year. Warning: if you stitch Birds in a Tree as a gift for a friend, you’ll probably want to make another one for yourself afterwards!
Once stitched, the wonderfully versatile Birds in a Tree can be folded in half and made into a specs case. It also looks great as the centre of a larger cushion, or a panel in a tapestry bag.
Each kit contains
Each Birds in a Tree tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (12hpi)
- Reference chart
- Generous supply of Anchor tapestry wool
- John James tapestry needle
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, the frames allow you to switch between projects if necessary.
For Birds in a Tree, we recommend either a CF189 frame or choose a CF219 or CF249 frame if you might stitch something larger in the future. A 12″ frame will be a bit of a squeeze.
