R for Rhino is an A-Z Animals needlepoint birth sampler to stitch for a baby or young child. R for Rhino features a rhino and a rabbit, along with roses, reindeer (including Rudolph), robins and raccoons. There’s plenty of space to add either a single name or more names along with lettering and a date, such as date of birth.
TIP: Stitch R for Rhino for a little Rory, Ruby, Rebecca or Rafferty – or leave out the ‘R’s in the corners and stitch for a child whose name begins with any letter of the alphabet. This applies to all our A-Z Animals designs. Just choose your favourite design and adjust the letters or leave out as needed.

R for Rhino has space to either stitch a large single name using the large lettering provided, or to add more details, e.g. date of birth and/or birth weight using the smaller alphabet. Frame your finished tapestry as a picture or make into the centre of a larger cushion or make a book bag for a favourite bedtime book.

A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to prevent your canvas from going out of shape. A frame also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a tried and tested range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are quick to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, you can easily switch projects if necessary. If going on holiday, just take off the side bars and roll up your canvas - hey presto, ready to travel.
