E for Elephant is an enchanting needlepoint tapestry from our A-Z Animals series to stitch for a baby or child, featuring an elephant in the centre and eleven patterned eggs in the border.
TIP: Stitch E for Elephant for a little Evelyn, Evie, Edward, Eleanor, Elliot, Ella, or other ‘E’ name – or leave out the ‘E’s in the corners and stitch for a child whose name begins with any letter of the alphabet. This applies to all our A-Z Animals designs. Just choose your favourite design and adjust the letters or leave out as needed.
Colour printed canvas, with alphabets and numbers charts included for planning the name panel. Stitch either a large single name or more names and birth details, e.g. date of birth and/or birth weight.

E for Elephant is an elegant 'E' tapestry to stitch for a new baby or a young child, although we do know of one recipient of E for Elephant who was in his forties when his Mum made one for him! E for Elephant tapestry features a central elephant, and a border of eleven eggs. There's space to stitch a large single name, or add more details, e.g. date of birth and/or birth weight.
Once finished your tapestry can be framed as a picture or made into the centre of a larger cushion or made into a book bag for a favourite bedtime book.

Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but will help to prevent your canvas from going out of shape. A frame also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a tried and tested range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are quick to assemble.
The canvas is attached by sturdy clips, allowing you to switch between projects if necessary. If going on holiday, just take off the side bars and roll up your canvas - hey presto, ready to travel.
For the A-Z Animals tapestry kits, we recommend an 18" CF189 tapestry frame, as a smaller CF129 will be a bit of a squeeze. Choose a larger frame with code ending in '9' if you are likely to stitch cushion sized designs in the future.
