D for Dog is an adorable tapestry to stitch for a new baby or a dog loving child. Part of our A-Z Animals collection, the tapestry features a dog in a striped sweater, with two friendly ducks. In the colourful borders there are dominoes, daisies and diamonds.
TIP: Stitch D for Dog for a little Dougal, Daisy, David, Danielle, or other 'D' name - or leave out the Ds in the corners and stitch for a child with any name and initial. This applies to all our A-Z Animals designs. Just choose your favourite design, and adjust the letters or leave out as needed.
D for Dog has space to stitch a large single name, or add more details, e.g. date of birth and/or birth weight. Frame your finished tapestry as a picture or make into the centre of a larger cushion, or make a book bag for a favourite bedtime book.

Each D for Dog tapestry kit comes with a fully recyclable red paper-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:

- John James tapestry needle (size 20)
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but will help to prevent your canvas from going out of shape. A frame also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are quick to assemble. The canvas is attached by easy clips, enabling you to easily switch projects if necessary. If going on holiday, just take off the side bars and roll up your canvas - hey presto, ready to travel.
For our A-Z Animals tapestry kits, we recommend an 18" CF189 tapestry frame, as a smaller CF129 will be a bit of a squeeze.
