A for Ark tapestry is one of our A-Z Animals series of tapestry kits, and is perfect for a Noah's Ark or animal themed nursery. The design features ark in the centre with a colourful alphabet border, and arrows and apples in the corners.
A for Ark is a lovely mini birth sampler to stitch for a baby or young child. You can choose to either stitch one large name in the space provided, or a use the smaller alphabet to include more details such as date of birth and/or birth weight. The finished tapestry can be framed as a picture, made into a cushion or used as the centre panel of a book bag for a favourite bedtime book.

Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to prevent your work going out of shape. It also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. The canvas is attached by sturdy clips, giving you the flexibility to switch between projects if you need to.
For the A-Z Animals tapestry kits, we recommend an 18" CF189 tapestry frame, as a smaller CF129 will be a bit of a squeeze. Choose a larger frame with code ending in '9' if you are likely to stitch cushion sized designs in the future.

Choosing a Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but will help to prevent your canvas from going out of shape. A frame also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a tried and tested range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are quick to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, you can easily switch projects if necessary. If going on holiday, just take off the side bars and roll up your canvas – hey presto, ready to travel.
For the A-Z Animals tapestry kits, we recommend a CF189 tapestry frame, as a smaller CF129 will be a bit of a squeeze. Choose a larger frame with code ending in ‘9’ if you are likely to stitch cushion sized designs in the future.
