Coffee With Friends is a sunny tapestry design that celebrates the simple pleasure of meeting up with friends for a cup of tea or coffee. The bunting’s out, along with flowers and the best crockery. Coffee With Friends can be framed as a picture or made into the centre of a cushion.
We are donating £5 from the sale of each Coffee With Friends kit to Macmillan Cancer Support. A Coffee With Friends kit is a lovely small project to stitch for your own home, as well as being a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member. Other ideas: you could stitch one to hang at home or in a favourite meeting place, or to raise funds for through a raffle.
Please see our blog and Facebook page for more details and updates on Coffee With Friends fundraising.
Each Coffee With Friends tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (12hpi)
- Reference chart
- Generous supply of Anchor tapestry wool
- John James tapestry needle
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, the frames allow you to switch between projects if necessary.
For Coffee With Friends, we recommend either a CF189 frame, or choose a CF219 or CF249 frame if you might stitch something larger in the future. A 12″ frame will be okay but might be a bit of a squeeze.
