Bella the Unicorn is a lovely beginner tapestry kit, and a great design to introduce a novice stitcher of any age to tapestry. Unicorns have magical powers and if you stitch Bella or her friend Luna, you will enjoy extra happiness while you stitch.
Choose the Complete Kit for colour printed canvas, wool, needle and threader. Click on Canvas Only if you already have lots of wool. Both options come with a Jolly Red bag with colour illustration on the front.
Do I need a frame? For Bella the Unicorn starter kit, we recommend a CF129 tapestry frame. Choose one of the larger frames (CF189, CF219 or CF249), ie one with code ending in ‘9’ if you intend to stitch larger projects in the future. These will allow you to attach a canvas wider than 12″. Choosing a Tapestry Frame
Do I need a frame? A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to keep your work in shape. Using a frame also makes it easy to resume stitching the following day or after a break. Young stitchers may find it easier to focus on and enjoy their tapestry if they don’t have to physically hold on to the canvas as they stitch.
We stock a good range of British-made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are easy to assemble. Once the four sides are put together, simply attach your canvas in the grooves at the top and bottom using the sturdy clips provided.
