Choosing and using a Tapestry Frame
Why use a frame? A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to keep your canvas straight and maintain even tension as you stitch. With your canvas on a frame, it's easy to pick it up and resume stitching the following day or after a break.
Which size is best for this kit? We stock a range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which take only a few minutes to assemble. For Alphabet Cats in Space, we recommend a 24" frame, either a CF249 or a CF2412. This allows for the extra blank canvas at the sides of the printed area. Another benefit of using a clip frame The canvas is attached by sturdy clips which fit snugly into grooves in the top and bottom bars. The clips give you the freedom to temporarily remove your canvas and switch to another project if necessary.
