African Tiles canvas

African Tiles is a wonderful tapestry to stitch with its addictive patchwork squares and zigzag border. African Tiles is a relaxing project for anyone with tapestry experience and is also a good design for an adult beginner who will find stitching the design one 'tile' at a time very encouraging. Dark colours are very forgiving and hide any lapses in tension.

Once stitched, African Tiles looks wonderful whether made into a cushion or used as a panel in a tapestry bag.

Choosing  a Tapestry Frame

A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to prevent your work going out of shape. A frame makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which take only a few minutes to assemble. The canvas is attached by sturdy clips, allowing you to switch between projects if necessary.

For African Tiles, we recommend either a CF219, CF2112, CF249 or a CF2412 frame. Choose the CF249 or CF2412 if you may stitch larger designs in the future.
