Round and round we go! Our new Whirligigs design is a patchwork of circles, and a really enjoyable design to stitch, as the design grows before your eyes with each completed square and circle.
Once stitched, Whirligigs can be folded in half and made into a specs case. It could also be used as the centre of a larger cushion, or a panel in a tapestry bag.
Each kit contains
Each Whirligigs tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (12hpi)
- Reference chart
- Generous supply of Anchor tapestry wool
- John James tapestry needle
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, the frames allow you to switch between projects if necessary.
For Whirligigs, we recommend either a CF189 frame or choose a CF219 or CF249 frame if you might stitch something larger in the future. A 12″ frame will be a bit of a squeeze.
