Renaissance Cat
£38.50 – £77.00
Our Renaissance Cat tapestry kit was inspired by the famous woven tapestries in the Musée de Cluny in Paris, and the patterns on his body and in the border are an homage to those wonderful mediaeval tapestries.
Renaissance Cat tapestry is a majestic cat with a deep rose fleur de lis background and a blue millefleurs floral border. We feel that Renaissance Cat would be very much at home in a fine French chateau, but failing that a more modest abode with modern heating and fewer draughts would be acceptable.
Stitch Renaissance Cat on its own or as a perfect partner tapestry for Patchwork Cat. Renaissance Cat and Patchwork Cat each have a lovely balance of plain and patterned areas, making them a real pleasure to stitch.

Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential but using one will help to prevent your work going out of shape. It also makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which are easy to assemble. The canvas is attached by sturdy clips, giving you the flexibility to switch between projects if necessary.
Renaissance Cat will fit onto a 21" tapestry frame (CF219 or CF2112) if you trim the canvas slightly at the edges. Note: don't trim too close to the printed design area. Choose a slightly wider 24" frame (perhaps CF219 or CF2112) if you think you will stitch larger (wider) projects in the future.
See all our tapestry clip frames in our Frames and Accessories category, or call us on 01460 281111 or message kelly@jollyred,co.uk if you'd like advice before selecting a tapestry frame.

Choosing a Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. For Renaissance Cat, we recommend either a CF249 or a CF2412 frame.
