Description
Indian Elephants is a richly patterned tapestry, lovely to stitch and an absorbing small project. It’s a versatile design, and once completed you can make your Indian Elephants into a specs case, the centre of a larger cushion or a panel for a bag.
We made the Indian Elephants in our picture into a cushion with a maroon velvet border for a luxurious feel.
Kit Contents
Each Indian Elephants tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (12hpi)
- Reference chart
- Generous supply of Anchor tapestry wool
- John James tapestry needle
- Stitch instructions for half cross and tent stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but does help to prevent your work going out of shape and makes it easy to resume stitching the next day or after a break. We stock a good range of British made no-sew tapestry clip frames which only take a few minutes to assemble. As the canvas is attached by easy clips, the frames allow you to switch between projects if necessary.
For Indian Elephants, we recommend either a CF189 frame, or choose a CF219 or CF249 frame if you might stitch something larger in the future. A 12″ frame might be a bit of a squeeze.
