A lovely butterfly tapestry design for a young child. Once the design is stitched, there will be plenty of spare wool so that it can be extended and personalised with patterns, stripes and/or a name.
Once stitched frame your Butterfly as a picture, make it into the centre of a larger cushion, or use it as a panel for a favourite bedtime book bag.
As a rough age guide, Butterfly is suitable for children age 7+
Butterfly starter tapestry kit is on special offer. It’ll soon be back soon to its full price (£17).
Each Butterfly tapestry kit comes in a red rope-handled bag with colour illustration and includes:
- Colour printed canvas (10hpi)
- Eight whole skeins of Anchor tapestry wool
- Reference chart with additional alphabet chart, and instructions
- John James tapestry needle
- Needle threader
- Clear instructions for half cross stitch
Choosing a Tapestry Frame
A tapestry frame is not essential, but is a good idea for beginners as it leaves both hands free for stitching.
For Butterfly, we recommend a CF129 frame if small hands will be stitching. Choose one of the larger frames with code ending in ‘9’ if you think you or your young stitcher will go on to larger projects in the future.
Printed canvas area: 4″ x 4″ (10cm x 10cm), canvas size 10″ x 10″ (25cm x 25cm)
