Our new Strawberries and Daisies tapestry kit is a wonderful design to stitch and make into a cushion or specs case. The juicy strawberries and delicate daisies will evoke memories of summer picnics, afternoon teas and days out in the sunshine. Wimbledon too, if you’re a tennis fan!
We have designed Strawberries and Daisies in such a way that it will look good whether made into the centre panel of a cushion (or a bag) or folded in half as a specs case.
The canvases are printed in full colour on 12 holes per inch canvas and there is enough wool in our complete kits to allow for stitching the canvas in either half cross or tent stitch. You can order the canvas on its own if you already have your own wool mountain. We can arrange for you to have just some of the wool put not the whole wool pack, eg just the background blue.
The first of our Strawberries and Daisies tapestry kits are ready and we even managed to get some out in the post after yesterday’s newsletter!
In other news…Google reviews! We have a favour to ask – can you spare a few minutes? If you’ve received a kit or had a tapestry back from our sewing ladies recently you may have spotted this request among your paperwork:
We are always thrilled to receive your emails letting us know how pleased you are with your tapestry or how much you’re enjoying your kit. If you were able to spend a moment writing a Google review of your experience of Jolly Red that would be amazing, and it would reach other like-minded stitchers.
A prize every three months At the end of August we will put the names in the hat of everyone who has written a Google review for Jolly Red. We’ll pick a name from the hat and send a prize to the winner. Names that aren’t picked on this occasion will remain in the hat for the next draw which will be at the end of November.
Thank you so much if you are able to do this. Nicola wrote a lovely review recently and included a picture of her beautiful Moonlight Garden bag. Her review has already been seen by over 50 people, so it really does make a difference.
Knowing the difference that a review makes for a small business, I have started to write more reviews myself now. The most recent one was for a grocery store in Langport which stocked ground almonds that I needed for a raspberry bakewell cake recipe. The large supermarket nearby didn’t have them so it was a good reminder to me to go to the Langport Stores more often.
Thanks again. Happy stitching, happy baking and happy holidays if you are going away in July!
