Hello, tapestry pals! Today we bring you a cheerful hen themed new tapestry to take you into spring, our new Lay A Little Egg kit.
In the design hens and chicks scratch around in a sunny garden. There’s a patchwork border of eggs and feathers, and a trio of little chicks in the corner.
The lovely Hens will have an added appeal if you’ve already stitched a Chick Chick Chicken teacosy.
Lay A Little Egg measures approximately 15.5″ wide x 11.5 inches high, and is stitched on 10 holes per inch double thread canvas.
Do I need a frame to stitch Lay A Little Egg? If so, what size? In the picture above, our Lay A Little Egg canvas is on a 24″ clip frame. If will fit on a 21″ frame if you trim off a little canvas on the right hand side, as you can see in the picture.
Using a tapestry frame is a matter of personal choice. We like them, and it’s nice to be able to pick up a frame with your tapestry attached and carry on from where you left off, without having to fiddle around in a bag for your canvas. It’s all there in front of you – and a frame also helps to stop your canvas from going out of shape.
2021 New Designs Throughout this year we will be concentrating on finishing designs that we put to one side last year while as a result of the increase in demand for Jolly Red kits.
As well as Lay A Little Hen, we have other designs that need the graph paper attention!
Jolly Redders old and new are stitching more than ever and we know you like to see new designs – so do we! We have more designs coming your way, so do stay tuned.
Making Up Service More stitching in the last year has led to huge numbers of completed canvases being sent in for our Making Up Service.
If you have finished a tapestry that you’d like to send to us for making up, please do get in touch before posting to check that we’ll be able to help.
Stay safe – and happy stitching!
