Hello, and welcome to our new website. Regular visitors to our old site will notice that things look a little different. Everything from our old site has been moved across, but It’s a bit like moving house – you’re in your new home and know that all your belongings are there too, but they’re now in different rooms/cupboards!
It can be tricky when things change, so today we’ll explain a few things to help you find your way around our new site.
How are the kits organised? Our kits are now primarily arranged into eight themes. You can see the themes in the large images on our Home page, and the drop down menu from ‘Shop’ reveals a few more too. Our Special Offers are still here – and you can also see our tapestry clip frames.
The new and improved ‘Search’ function Are you looking for a particular kit? Click in the Search area (the magnifying glass at the top of our Home page) and type in the name or part of the name of the kit you’re looking for. Here we’re searching for ‘Elephant’:
On our old site, this search would only reveal kits with the word ‘Elephant’ in their title but as you can see above, the search now also takes you to our blog posts so in our Elephant serarch we could also find ideas and suggestions for fabrics for Indian Elephant.
With our old site we were frequently asked how people could find our blog posts. They are all here, with all the fabric information you need and the latest news too.
Do I need to set up an account? Our new site gives you the option to set up an account, see below:
You don’t have to do this, and if you’d prefer just to browse our kits then you can do that, and you can place your order without creating an account.
Should I set up an account? Some stitchers call us if they can’t remember which tapestry – let’s say a Christmas stocking – they’ve stitched before, as they’ve given the stocking to the new baby, possibly several years ago. With an account set up you would have the advantage of being able to see your previous purchases and work out which kit it was.
We’ve had a fantastic response to our new website, but we hope this helps to answer the queries we’ve received.
This year we are catching up with new designs, so do remember to sign up to our newsletter if you haven’t already done so. We often update our albums on our Facebook Page, so do take a look there if you’ve finished a tapestry and want to send it in for our Making up Service.
