For a wedding or anniversary, you could insert initials on either side of the '&' with the year below.

Tip if you are considering stitching Sailing Boats for a little girl: with the name panel in blues (as in our picture) the design looks very boyish. To make it more girl-friendly, all you need to do is to change the colours that you stitch the name & dates in - maybe use the pink & reds?  Also, you can sway the design more towards girls if you choose a feminine colour of mount when getting it framed.
