Prices: Please scroll your cursor over the words 'Making Up Service' and that will produce a list of prices & information for you.

In the excitement of completing your tapestry, it is very easy to overlook small details when sending your masterpiece in for making up. If you stick to this checklist, it will help us to keep things running smoothly at the Jolly Red end, and will almost always speed up the return delivery to you of your work! So please read on:

  • Try not to trim down the edges of your tapestry
We need the border for pinning your work out when stretching.
  • Do include your name, address & telephone number or email address. Also include a note of a return delivery address, if different. If you are able to include a mobile phone number we will be able to text you so that you know within an hour when your tapestry will be returned.
  • Do let us know the colour/s you'd like us to use when sending in your cushions, teacosies and Christmas stockings
Include a note on how you'd like them to be used, eg 'O for Owls. Please make up with 3" border in navy, same navy for backing, and use dark green for piping only'. If you are unsure, nervous or confused please call on 01460 281111 to discuss.
  • Do include payment with your work
Or call in advance with credit card details. We only process your card when we are sending your work back to you.
  • Do include any special deadlines
And if possible call or email us in advance with dates eg birthdays, anniversaries, if they are very tight. We do try our best to stick to customer deadlines. An example for you: recently a customer brought something in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was ready for collection on the Friday of the same week, ie 3 days later - but this could only be done because no-one in the making up chain was on holiday and as it was summer the drying time for the tapestry was reduced. In the autumn and winter - or during miserable weeks in the summer- there's no way we could be as fast as this. In the winter, drying time alone takes several days.
