Dear Stitcher,
Wherever you are in the world, I hope this latest round-up of Jolly Red new finds you well, and on good stitching form. It's starting to feel a little bit like summer here in Somerset - about time too! It's the season for stitching in the shade in the garden, with a cool drink on the table. Lovely!
Recent new tapestry designs
Have a look at our fabulous new designs in the Needlepoint/Tapestry section. There's a new birth sampler called 'Butterflies', which goes very well with Love Hearts and Daisy, as well as two stunning specs cases - 'Alhambra Stars' and 'Indian Elephants'. There are also four cute little newcomers to the 'Beginners' section, and a magnificent new Christmas Stocking, called 'Fairytale'.
The Latest Kit Book
If you want to add your name and address to our mailing list, please send an email with your details to info@jollyred.co.uk. We'll send you a Kit Book, and then maybe the occasional Newsletter, but won't pester you beyond that, and we certainly won't pass on your details to anyone else.
All first orders get a copy of the current Kit Book, and will be updated in a friendly way re general news & new designs. If you can, try to get used to looking online at our site as that's where some of the new designs make their first appearance. We also delete items online when they have run out and been discontinued, so that's the place to check first (or call us) if you want to check on your favourite kit.
If you see a design that you like, try not to think about it for several years before taking the plunge and treating yourself, just be brave and go for it as we do have to discontinue designs occasionally! I know that many people find this upsetting, but we like to keep things loking fresh and introduce new designs quite frequently so you aren't stitching the same thing over and over again.
Making up Service & Picture Framing
Our skilled ladies can turn your finished work - however wonky! - into a masterpiece, so do have a peep the Making Up page for more information and prices.
Our neighbour, Framer Giles, offers a Framing Service if you'd like your work made into pictures, or perhaps a firescreen. Call Ian on 01458 250088 (not 250077!!) for framing enquiries.
PLEASE INCLUDE PAYMENT WITH YOUR WORK WHEN YOU SEND IT IN FOR MAKING UP! There seems to be a trend for customers to ask us to call 'to discuss payment'...we really don't have the time to do this. Just pop a cheque in with your tapestry, or if you prefer, call us on 01458 250077 wth credit card details. We will only process your card when we are despatching your completed tapestry.

OUT & ABOUT - SHOW LIST!
Last year we 'stuck our head above the parapet' rather more than in previous years - and absolutely loved having the opportunity to meet so many Jolly Redders. So, this year we'll be out and about again...
Westpoint, Exeter, Sept '08 - stand D3. More details to follow.
Knitting & Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace, London. 9th - 12th October 2008. We are lucky enough to have a space on the designer side this year, which has a lovely intimate feel to it. Kelly will be doing this show, with assistance from 'Saturday Jenny' if (when!) she gets the grades to get in to Kings College. She's hoping to do Maths, so we might get away with just one calculator and Jenny's very young and non-woolly brain.
